Villa Consano, along with partner clinics Cherrywood House and Anker Huis, are the focus of a new series by programmer Ewout Genemans, in which he visits Dutch people undergoing addiction treatment in South Africa.

Our treatment center attracts many Dutch clients each year. In his program Ewout In De Verslavingskliniek, Genemans wants to understand why treatment in South Africa is so attractive to Dutch people.

Through intimate interviews with clients and our staff, he gets answers to these and other questions. The Videoland series gives a unique look behind the doors of Villa Consano, which normally remain strictly closed due to our focus on client privacy.

Are there outings or activities during treatment?
